Vitamin D plays a role in the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and helps maintain normal bones and teeth. It also supports normal immune system function and has a role in the process of cell division.

Exposure to sunlight allows our bodies to naturally produce Vitamin D, but when there is a lack of sun, especially during the winter months, these levels can drop. Low levels of Vitamin D weaken your immune system making you more prone to contracting the common cold, the flu and viruses. Supplementing your diet with Vitamin D can help aid your immunity when you need it the most.

Adults and Children over 12 years: Take one tablet per day with food or liquid.

Calcium Carbonate 95 percent, Microcrystalline, Cellulose, Vitamin D3 Preparation, Stearic Acid, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide.

Adults, including pregnant and breastfeeding women and the elderly, and children aged 11 to 17 years should not take more than 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) of vitamin D a day as it could be harmful. Any levels above this recommended level should be under Medical Supervision

Prolonged use of Vitamin D over an excessive period can cause a high level of calcium to be retained in the body (hypercalcaemia), which can weaken bones and damage the kidneys and heart
